Two years ago, we launched Bobsled with a simple belief: the way companies shared data was broken.
Cloud reinvented collaboration within teams – but once data left the four walls of an organization, it was the stone age. The bulk of data that moved between companies was still powered by a mix of decades-old FTP setups and home-built pipelines that were painful to set up, even harder to consume and nearly impossible to govern.
The problem was interoperability.
The modern sharing protocols that transformed internal collaboration had one big weakness: they required common infrastructure. That’s fine when you’re sharing from one team to another — but it breaks down quickly when data moves between organizations. No two companies use the same stack.
It left teams that built data feeds with a taste of the future, but not much more. The biggest of these teams built out a network of infrastructure across clouds, but for most it was impossible. As a consequence, FTP persisted. Providers spent millions to keep up legacy tools. Consumers stayed in ETL hell. No one was happy.
As an industry, we had effectively revolutionized the way we produced data without upgrading the supply chain needed to bring those products to market.
So we struck out to build something different: a single platform that allowed teams to make data products accessible instantly, anywhere. No pipelines to build. No infrastructure to manage. The right data available to anyone, anywhere no matter where they worked – all working at a peta-byte scale.
Modern distribution for the modern data factory.
The new standard in data feeds.

Fast forward 24 months, and Bobsled now powers a wide swath of the global data supply chain. The biggest data companies in the world — from ZoomInfo and Cotality to Dun & Bradstreet, GlobalData, and Deutsche Börse — build their data feeds on Bobsled.
Our customers saw where the world was heading. Cloud radically changed the requirements for buyers, and data companies could not spend years building new infrastructure. We've succeeded because we built a solution that engineers trusted, product teams loved and CFOs could get behind.
Cloud is now table stakes. Welcome to the AI era.
Enterprise AI is built on enterprise-grade data. Data is context – and in the world of AI, context is everything. The more context we feed models and agents – whether that’s bid-ask histories, property defaults, or employment history – the better they are at making decisions.
That’s why I believe our customers – the companies that produce the world's most valuable data – will be an integral part of the AI story. Access to granular, timely information on the context in which you operate turns an AI agent from a poorly informed consultant to a game-changing member of your team.
Meeting that demand will not be without risks. Yes, it increases demand for data – but it also significantly reduces the moat that has protected data businesses for years. AI not only threatens the ability to control intellectual property, it also radically reduces the cost and complexity of building production-grade data products.
This is a generational moment. AI is the single biggest technological wave since the internet. Not acting is not an option.
Meet the next generation of Bobsled this May
We’re building for that future.
Today, we are the most widely adopted data sharing platform on the market. The most advanced data product teams on earth trust Bobsled to power distribution across every cloud and data platform.
Tomorrow, we will power the next wave of agentic data sharing, building a key piece of mission-critical infrastructure for enterprise AI.
Over the next few weeks, we will be releasing the next generation of features to to deliver on this mission. We will be releasing big new features that help companies radically accelerate their transition to cloud and start building AI-ready data products. That means granular governance, semantic models and more.
We believe these features – and many more that will be shipped this year – will allow data-centric companies to radically accelerate their cloud story and in doing so, set up a foundation for an AI-driven future.
